Bethany NOW

Bethany NOW (BNOW) is a time to reconnect, recharge, and grow together on Wednesday evenings starting at 5pm. Whether you come for a meal, join a class, or take part in an activity, you’ll find a place to belong. With opportunities for worship, study, fellowship and fun, it’s a mid-week pause that feeds both body and soul. BNOW is offered during September – April of each year.

Dinner is served from 5:00–6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Plarning: Crafting with a Purpose

Room 122 • Led by Janet Crain

This class introduces you to the creative and eco-friendly art of turning plastic bags into “plarn” (plastic yarn). In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to cut, connect, and crochet or knit plarn into useful items like sleeping mats for those in need. No experience is necessary—just bring your willingness to learn and help the environment while making a difference in your community.

Epiphany: The Holy Interruption

Room 118 • 4-week class • Led by Rev. Rick and Chris Rogers-Berry

Epiphany is not quiet or polite. It is God breaking into the world—interrupting journeys, naming belovedness, dazzling us on mountaintops, and finally choosing to dwell among us. In this four-week series, we follow the moments when God is revealed and discover how these holy interruptions transform not only what we see, but how we live.

The Study of Revelation Friendship

Circle Room • Led by Stan Petrohovich & Joan Naugle

The book of Revelation is one of the most complex—and often misunderstood—books of the Bible. Its vivid imagery and symbolism can sometimes feel confusing or even intimidating. In this class, we will explore Revelation together, seeking to better understand its message, context, and meaning, and what it offers us as people of faith today. Please read the first two chapters of Revelation for the first class and bring your Bible to class.

Creative Sewing

Room 127 • Led by Penny Limehouse

A relaxed and welcoming group for anyone who enjoys crafting, no matter the skill level or project type. Whether you’re mending, crafting, or creating something entirely new, bring your work-in-progress and enjoy a time of creativity and connection. This group is all about fellowship—sharing ideas, encouraging one another, and enjoying the joy of making things together.

CHILDREN & YOUTH Children can take part in choir, crafting or a Bible class. Youth enjoy choir practice, small groups, missions opportunities and even the occasional ice cream run. All ages have a place to belong. Classes for children and youth begin at 6:00pm, with adult classes following at 6:15pm.

  • 4’s & Kindergarten: Cherub Choir → Crafting Faith
  • 1st & 2nd Grade: Melody Choir → Crafting Faith
  • 3rd–5th Grade: Crafting Faith → Wesley Choir or Bible Adventures

6:45–7:30 pm: Switch programs as listed above

 

Program Highlights:

Choirs: Cherub, Melody & Wesley Choirs teach music, teamwork and worship skills.

Crafting Faith: Hands-on creative activities that help kids explore Bible stories and grow in faith.

Bible Adventures: teaches Bible skills and worship elements

A nursery is provided for children under 4.

At Bethany, children are encouraged to sing, create, and connect – growing in faith while building lasting friendships. Every Sunday and Wednesday is an opportunity for your child to experience God’s love in a joyful and meaningful way.
