Pastoral Staff
Rev. Michael Ritter
Senior Pastor
Pastor Michael Ritter has served in ministry since 2000 and brings a deep commitment to faith, teaching, and pastoral care. He is a graduate of Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Michael is married to his wife, Laurie, and together they have two children, Dow and Emma. Since relocating to Summerville in 2022, they have grown to love the community. He is grateful to walk alongside the Bethany family as they grow in faith and service together.
Rev. Isaac Dusenbury
Associate Pastor
Rev. Dusenbury, a native of Conway, SC, arrived at Bethany in June of 2024. He received a BA in History from Coastal Carolina University and a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University. Prior to ordained ministry, he served as a Chaplain at Duke University Hospital. He currently resides in Hanahan with his wife and two children. Although he enjoys all aspects of ministry, Rev. Dusenbury is most passionate about mission work and pastoral caregiving.
Student & Recreation Ministry
Kyle Boczkowski
Youth Minister & Recreation Ministries Director
Kyle Boczkowski serves as the Director of Recreation and Student Ministries at Bethany United Methodist Church. He joined the Bethany staff in October 2018 after more than 15 years in the residential camping industry, where he oversaw the operational and programming needs of one of America’s premier sleep-away camps. In July 2023, Kyle assumed responsibility for Student Ministries, where he is passionate about creating opportunities for students and families to grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, serve others, and have fun together in a welcoming community. Kyle and his wife, Makala, have a daughter, Gracie, who is 17.

Henry Thompson
Church Administrator
Henry Thompson, originally from Dublin, Georgia, graduated from Georgia College in 1985 with a degree in Business Administration. He and his wife, Karen, have been members of Bethany UMC since 1997. Henry joined Bethany as Church Administrator in 2019. He feels blessed to serve a church that holds special meaning for his family and is inspired by the Holy Spirit working within the congregation and its mission.
Mandy Killiri
Pastor’s Assistant & Communications Director
Mandy Killiri serves as Bethany’s Pastor’s Assistant and Communications Director. A Summerville native, born and raised, she has been part of the Bethany staff for 10 years and deeply values the relationships and ministry of the church. Mandy has been married to her best friend, Frank, for 25 years and is the proud parent of two children, Brayton and Brinlee. She loves helping others and connecting with new people.
Ann Gill
Church Financial Secretary
Ann Gill has been a dedicated member of the Bethany staff for the past 20 years and considers the church family a true blessing. She is the proud mother of two children, Abby and Matt. Matt is married to Kristen, and together they have two daughters, Chloe and Harper, who bring Ann great joy. Ann is grateful to serve and support the Bethany community she loves

Makala Boczkowski
KidsCare Director
My name is Makala Boczkowski, and I am grateful to serve as the Director of KidsCare. God placed a calling on my heart to support children and partner with parents by providing a safe, loving space where kids can grow, ask questions, and trust that He has a plan for them. A UNL Early Childhood Education graduate, I cherish my husband Kyle and daughter Gracie and strive to reflect Christ’s joy, compassion, and hope in all I do.
Toni Pinkard
Child Development Center Director
Toni Pinkard is the Director of Bethany CDC. She is passionate about early childhood education and sharing God’s love with children and feels truly blessed to lead this ministry. She holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland and an M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland. Tony has experience teaching preschool and elementary school, serving as a reading specialist, developing curriculum, and training teachers. She loves the beach, good books, creating art, and spending time with her husband, Bobby, and her sons, Tyler & Luke.
Emily Vick
Director of Christian Education
A 1991 graduate of Wofford College, Emily grew up in the United Methodist Church as the daughter of a UMC minister. After 15 years as a stay-at-home mom, she felt called to serve and share the love and grace of Jesus through Christian education at Bethany. Emily and her husband have two grown children and one special-needs cat. She loves to travel, read, and spend time with family—and hopes everyone who comes to Bethany feels the love of Jesus.

Reagan Lord
Music Ministries Director
Reagan joined Bethany as the Director of Music Ministry in July of 2024. A South Carolina native and lifelong Methodist, she has served as a church musician for over 30 years serving churches in North and South Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama. Reagan holds an AFA from Brevard College in North Carolina. A BM in Sacred Music, An MM in Choral Conducting and an MM in Music Education, all from Columbia College. In addition, she studied with Jane Marshal at Southern Methodist University, earning her Sacred Music certification. Reagan and her fur family, enjoy exploring trails, rock climbing and visiting National parks.
